On June 24, 2020 the time has come again: then experts and decision-makers from the Brazilian mining industry will meet with German suppliers in Nova Lima/Alphaville and discuss the challenges that the mining industry in Brazil has to master following the serious accident in Brumadinho.

The accident on January 25, 2019, which occurred in the greater Belo Horizonte area, claimed 270 victims (259 of whom have been recovered dead to date) and had far-reaching consequences for mining throughout the country: a new regulation provides for stricter rules for the dams of the retention basins or deadlines for the dismantling of a particular type of construction of these dams.

In order to make the upcoming projects technologically high-quality and sustainable, German suppliers and consultants are the natural partners of the Brazilian mining industry. German companies interested in giving a presentation can contact the Competence Center Mining and Raw Materials of the São Paulo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK São Paulo), taking into account the key topic of sustainability in mining: rohstoffe@ahkbrasil.com.
